Dr. Charles W. Johnson

Called to ministry at the age of 12, Bishop Charles W. Johnson has spent his life serving God and His people. The son of an Apostolic pastor, he carries a strong legacy of faith, purpose, and destiny.

He was licensed in 1990 and ordained as Elder in 1992 under Bishop Freddie B. Marshall. Over the years, he has served in numerous leadership roles, from teaching and training to national leadership within the Greater Churches of Deliverance. His journey led him to Raleigh, NC, where he faithfully served The River Church before founding The Well Church in 2003. In 2007, he was consecrated to the office of Bishop under the covering of Bishop George Bloomer.

A husband of 33 years, father of two sons in ministry, and partner in leadership with his wife who pastors alongside him, Bishop Johnson is dedicated to building both church and community. He serves on local boards, provides counsel to organizations, and continues to advance in theological and Hebraic studies.

Dr. Johnson holds degrees in Theology, Divinity, and Hebraic Studies and is pursuing his doctorate in ministry. Above all, he remains a humble servant of God, passionate about preaching truth, equipping believers with knowledge, and leading people into the fullness of life God has ordained.
